Can anyone tell me how to do a K (k1, p1, k1) in next stitch? This scarf row is for a scarf using a variation of the blackberry stitch.

You would knit into the st, leave it on the needle and bring the yarn to the front to purl it, then move yarn to back and knit it again. It may be easier to knit, yo, knit into it, it'll look the same.

You knit the stitch, and leave the original loop on the left needle, then purl it, still leaving it on the left needle, then knit it, and carry over the completed stitch.

Agreed. I love the blackberry st. I have a watch of it in my purse that I'm working for a sampler throw.
