needle sizes
How do I measure needle sizes? I have all these circular needle tips that aren't labeled. I have a needle size thingy, but is the size the one that they almost fit through, or the one that they totally fit through? Also how are the cables measured? is it from join to join?

Thanks,
mommymoe

It's the size the flat part of the needle fits through, not just the tip. Some older US needles may not be quite true to size, so if it's too tight for one hole, but fairly loose on the next one up, it's probably the smaller size.

A circular needle length is measured tip to tip, not just the cords.
