Well, I'm checking in with y'all...what with the
Scarf Restriction I've put on myself...I thought I would account for my time!
The Banana Tree Cardigan is all knit up...the pieces that is.
Here is the body. It was knit all in one wide piece, fronts and back, all at the same time until the armhole area:
Here are the sleeves, completed today. They are seamed...and waiting to be attached to the body. However, I have to finish the last half of my Shih Tzu's grooming. She makes such an ordeal out of it...I do half...take a break...and then do the other half! She's hiding somewhere now. She sees the grooming tools are still laid out on the sheet on the floor. She knows she's not done. Then she'll have her bath. It's the clipping of the toenails that puts her in such a panting, wide-eyed panic. Poor thing.

The pattern stitch on the front panels is called TWIGS. It is a modification I made for this particular yarn. And the pattern didn't ask for cuffs. It just took right off with the plain 4x1 ribbing from cast on. Too casual for this Bonsai (bamboo tape) yarn.
I am
also going to knit a bust-circumference TWIGS panel, seam it...then pick up stitches along one edge...work the 4x1 rib in-the-round downwards to create a matching cami-tank to wear with the cardigan. I want to wear the twinset to a January 22 wedding. Think I'll make it in time??
Here is the Rav project page, if you care to watch me sweat!
