WIP almost done! Banana Tree Cardigan!
Well, I'm checking in with y'all...what with the Scarf Restriction I've put on myself...I thought I would account for my time!

The Banana Tree Cardigan is all knit up...the pieces that is.
Here is the body. It was knit all in one wide piece, fronts and back, all at the same time until the armhole area:

Here are the sleeves, completed today. They are seamed...and waiting to be attached to the body. However, I have to finish the last half of my Shih Tzu's grooming. She makes such an ordeal out of it...I do half...take a break...and then do the other half! She's hiding somewhere now. She sees the grooming tools are still laid out on the sheet on the floor. She knows she's not done. Then she'll have her bath. It's the clipping of the toenails that puts her in such a panting, wide-eyed panic. Poor thing.

The pattern stitch on the front panels is called TWIGS. It is a modification I made for this particular yarn. And the pattern didn't ask for cuffs. It just took right off with the plain 4x1 ribbing from cast on. Too casual for this Bonsai (bamboo tape) yarn.

I am also going to knit a bust-circumference TWIGS panel, seam it...then pick up stitches along one the 4x1 rib in-the-round downwards to create a matching cami-tank to wear with the cardigan. I want to wear the twinset to a January 22 wedding. Think I'll make it in time??

Here is the Rav project page, if you care to watch me sweat!

Ooooh very nice!

With how fast you seem to knit, I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting it finished in time!

Awesome! Beautifully knit.
Can't wait to see it after your beautiful finishing work.

Not in my wildest imagine can I see my hands managing that

I just have to comment about your Shih Tzu grooming tale - I'm chuckling because I have a Shih Tzu and a tiny Toy Poodle and they both run when they see me get the grooming tools out!!!

P.S. I love your work - I'm hoping someday my knitting will be as beautiful!!

OTN - afghan for DH (undid it for the 3rd time and started another pattern), baby sweater, hooded sweater jacket for me!!

Wow, that's gorgeous! I've never knit with that ribbony yarn. How do you like knitting with it? I read your comments about it on Ravelry..good call then to make a smaller sweater. I have a very hard time with that and all but one sweater are a little large. I think the one I'm making now should be okay, but it still needs to be steeked.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

In my knitting dictionary, next to the word 'envy' is your face. Wow, indeed! That is truly beautiful.

How you have the patience to work with the ribbon yarn is beyond my ken. The stuff frustrates me. You really are a knitting craftsman.
