Pattern for Sweater Dress?

Does any one know where I can find a pattern for a modest sweater dress? I love sweater dresses and would like to make one, but I can't find a good pattern for one. If it was crochet it might be better than knit, because I can crochet better than I knit. But either would be great! Thanks for your help!

Don't forget, you can also take a sweater pattern (especially one knit top-down) that you like (great collar/pattern/motif) and make it longer to make a dress out of it.

Thanks, I had not thought of lengthening a sweater pattern. That should not be too hard I am not much of a knitter though. I will have to ask one of my sisters to help, 2 out of three of my sisters can knit allot better than I do. I can crochet well, but those patterns are not as easy to find.

This is a Christening dress I did for my granddaughter. It's just a long sweater dress. If you click my Flicker link in this thread, you'll see the dress details. This is a cute Gingerbread cable. I was afraid to do cables and only learned how a few months ago, but it's easy. Give it a try. You would have fun with it.

Patons Yarn has a cabled sweater dress pattern in one of their booklets I believe. But I have also seen it on their website at patonsyarns.com made in Patons Classic Wool, worsted wt. You can download the pattern.
