Pattern conversion...
Hello All-

I found a cute boys sweater pattern with two Penguins on the front of it on-line and I emailed the designer to see if it came in an adult men's size. She said that for her to design a man's pattern it would cost between $300-350 and I certainly can't afford that. Is it possible to purchase the boys pattern and convert it to fit my husband? My husband's nickname is "The Penguin" and he would love this particular sweater.

Thank you. Kay

Absolutely.
Buy the children's pattern. Blow up the penguin design to desired size. Then overlay a grid that is in the stitch gauge ratio for the yarn you will be using for your husband's sweater, and plot out the pattern on the grid. Wahlah, you have an adult size penguin sweater pattern.

This website does the same for you with a photo.
