Increasing m1
Not sure how to ask this but I am unhappy with the results of my increase and not sure if there are any tips you can give. The pattern is:

Inc row: k10, m1, k15, m1, k10 (37 sts).
Inc row: k11, m1, k15, m1, k11 (39 sts).
Inc row: k12, m1, k15, m1, k12 (41 sts).
Inc row: k13, m1, k15, m1, k13 (43 sts).
Inc row: k14, m1, k15, m1, k14 (45 sts).

When I m1, I am having a hard time finding the "horizontal thread" between the two knits because of the location of the m1 in the row below. Would that make sense? Also, the pattern is for a stuffed animal and everywhere else I am alternating between purling and knitting rows so it is a stockinette stitch look. I feel like I am reading the pattern wrong since this is the only place I am knitting every row. Looks strange. There is nothing I am misunderstanding in the above pattern that would tell me otherwise right?

Do you inc every row, or every other row? If you're working in stockinette, then you must be doing a plain purl row in between because the inc rows are written for knit. So you should be able to find the strand between the sts because there's no inc on the previous row where you pick it up from.

Do you have a link to the pattern?

I actually just figured out what I was doing wrong, and you're right, I need the purl in between the rows. Should solve all my problems Thanks!!
