Changing a pattern
Hello
i am trying to make a triangle shawl with a drop stitch, I found a great pattern and i love it but i want the shawl to be a little wider but not longer and still maintain the triangle shape any tips on how to do that?
this is a portion of the pattern.
PATTERN STITCH
Row 1 (WS): K1, * (yo) twice, k1, rep from * across.
Row 2: Knit, dropping all yo’s.
Row 3: K1, k in front and back of next st, k to last 2 sts, k in front and back of next st, k1.
Rows 4 – 6: Rep Row 3.
Rep Rows 1 – 6 twelve times more – 113 sts.
Bind Off Row: Knit, * bind off 5 sts, yo, rep from * across, binding off all sts as you go.
or visit the berroco cite the pattern is called nicky
thanks for helping

Well,
if you were to repeat the pattern 13 or 14 times rather than 12 you would get a wider and longer shawl with the same triangular shape.

To widen without lengthening you could try doing 2 kfbs at the start and end of a few rows, say each row 3 but not the row 4-6 repeats.
row 3: K1, kfb next st, k1, kfb next stitch, knit to last 4 sts, kfb next stitch, k1, kfb next stitch, k1.
