Someone have a picture?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a first row of stitching. Preferably one that goes K4, (P4, K4) twice.

I'm trying to knit a scarf and thats the first row. I just want to see if it looks right. Also, somehow I have a string (apparently it's my working yarn which is towards the end and my tail is towards the point) that is attaching both of my needles together, did I do it wrong?

So that's what my first few rows should look like? Er...roughly I mean?

Also, I just realized that I might be doing it wrong :(
There is the whole scarf, and then there's the lower band and upper band. Do I do main part first and then the bands?

I dunno... which pattern is it, or how does it look in the picture?

Um, I'm not really sure. It's just a scarf pattern. But I'm using size 8 needles instead of 10 needles, cuz all I have are 8 and 6.

That's what it's supposed to look like, but I'm using a royal blue color instead.

It looks like you do the lower band first, then the main pattern followed by the upper band. Generally the stitch patterns are given first, then the CO; follow the instructions after the cast on.
