Hi, I have a pattern for a garter stitch baby blanket in 8 ply wool, it says to use two different sizes to get the ruffle affect, what sizes would I use? I'm a learner.

What size needles does the pattern suggest? Do you have a link the pattern and/or a name? It helps us when you ask questions.

Choosing a yarn by plies is difficult because it doesn't really tell you what weight the yarn is or gauge.
