Question about adding a color

Hello again. I know how to add a color but in my pattern I slip the first stitch on every row so that means that the first stitch will not match the rest of the row. Do I need to worry about that or is that the way it's supposed to be?

You could see what it's like to work the last st of the previous row with the new color. That may work out for you.

I agree with what Suzie said. Usually if you have to slip the first stitch with the new color, if you work the last stitch of the previous row with the new color then slip it on the new row everything works out real well.

Good to know I was on the right track. I don't do colorwork, but knew that's how you change colors in crocheting so figured it should work the same for knitting too.
