aw, thank you!

It took me some courage to post here after seing all the complicated things people make... these are easy... Unfortunatelly, I am 'pattern challenged' so I just can't make myself to follow one (the same goes for food recipes). But I love looking at pictures and 'stealing' some ideas. Are there other people who prefer to start with a skein of yarn and don't really know what they are making until it's done?

I would like to find a 'knitting without patterns' thread but of course with those keywords in the search I get pretty much every thread on this forum

that would be my mom who is an advanced knitter and a good cook AND my teacher of both!
