K1, P to last stitch, K1
As a new knitter, this doesn't make sense to me. If I K1 then P to the last stitch, what's left to K? I really want to knit my 11mo old grandson an earflap beanie and this is in the directions. Thanks so much for your help!

It's really intended to be "k1, purl up to (but not including) the last stitch, knit the last stitch" but the directions shorten it.

Thank you so much. I'm a very literal person and your explanation makes perfect sense to me!
