Need help!

Knitting fitted fingerless gloves. Put stitches on holding needles and worked the thumb and binded off. Pattern says pick up and knit the stitches on holding needle. How do I do that after I have bound off the thumb? Do I cut the yarn from the thumb?

If the thumb is complete you can cut it. Usually you work the hand first and come back to the thumb last. What pattern is it, do you have a link?
