Meaning of Resp.
I have a pattern from the German magazine Rebecca. It uses the term "resp" when making button holes. What does that mean?
Thanks!

Did you look through the front or back of the magazine for a list of definitions. There should be one. Sometimes they are listed somewhere in the pattern instrucrions as well.

I haven't seen this before but if you can't find a list, do a search for germany knitting definitions. That should give you what you need.

resp. means respectively (alternatively) and usually refers to the number of stitches, depending on the size you are knitting.

Hope that helps!

Or 'alternately'? I think the OP ought to post the whole line and we can see it all in context.
