Looking for a stocking cap pattern
I'm looking for a stocking cap type pattern that is knitted all one piece that can be doubled. Starting from the widest part, tapering down to the crown and than back to the wide part so it can be folded in on itself. Need to be able to use a yarn that is one step bulkier than worsted weight as have some that was hand spun.

This one can be knit in any yarn once you read how it's done. It's not from the top, it's from the bottom. I made one for my DH and it's very warm.

This one is a top down double hat, but it's not free.
