Help - with twists
I think RT means "right twist" - can someone walk me through how to do it - the directions read as follows:

RT- k2 tog, leaving them on LH needle then k first st again and sl to RH needle

Just do as it says - knit 2tog, but leave the sts on the needle, then knit into the first stitch only. Forget the part about slipping to the R needle, you don't.
