Increasing in one stitch?
Hey, all!
I'm just a tad confused on a free pattern I picked up for a coffee cozy(this would fit a Starbucks take-out cup). Here's the part I'm stuck on.
(Inc 1 st in next st. K7) 4 times.

What does this mean? I'm puzzled. Thanks for everything!

This is what's called a repeat. You're going to increase 1 st. You can probably do a simple knit in front and back for this. Then you will knit 7 stitches. You'll repeat this four times. Sometimes you'll see pattern repeats written as *inc 1, knit 7* four times. This means that you will repeat whatever is between the astericks.

Yes, a KFB (knit front and back) is what increasing into the stitch means. It's an increase so you can watch the video in the increase section of the tab above.

Thank you! It makes much more sense now. I guess I was puzzled over the "in next stitch" part.
Thanks again!
