Thumb Gusset...NEED HELP!!!
So I've just recently started knitting and decided to make an easy pair of mittens for my 4-year-old daughter. I'm stuck on the thumb top and the pattern I'm using says: with RS facing, return Sts from holder to larger needle. Join yarn and K across.

I get everything but joining the yarn...I'm so lost on that. I don't have a tail attached to the thumb part. The pattern I'm using is Easy-Knit Mittens from Lion Brand. Please Help!!!

If you don't have yarn attached then you would just use new yarn and weave in the tail later. Not having yarn at this point is normal. <
