Don't feel bad it took me about 8 years to get how to the hold the yarn and then about 9 years to learn purl lol. There's always hope, I'm sure you'll find a way that suits you eventually.

I read somewhere to stand a mirror up and have the lefty look at the mirror while the righty knits. I have no idea if this works though
