Hi! I'm new here and not the greatest at knitting. I'm sitting here tonight working on my second sock of my very first pair of socks! I'm so excited, I've been trying for ever to get a sock to turn out and I did it!

Hey! I've been knitting for 7 years and just finished my first sock, magic loop. So that's really good you did that first! Those are hard...well I think!

It is a big circle shawl. Elizabeth Zimmerman wrote the "pattern" I am doing a version that has a large lace flower worked in. Give me a sec. I wil find the pattern link.

How old is your little one? I am glad mine were bigger when I learned. There are way too many cute patterns.

Tis true. It wasn't being used anymore. I asked Shandeh last year if she wanted me to bring it back. I guess it's easier for her to manage things when it's confined to a forum thread like this. It's a lot of work tallying up all the people entering to win prizes, so it makes sense to keep it simple.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who took so long to do socks! I've been crocheting for years and am trying to start a home business making hats for babies and toddlers. I'm staring this very slowly so I don't get overwhelmed!
