Backward loop - Lift Loop
I'm being told to cast on 5 stitches using backward loop method then the instruction says to LIFT LOOP then cast on another 6 stitches using the backward loop method.

What do they mean by LIFT LOOP? AND am I casting on to the right-hand needle or the left-hand needle?

For a backward loop you usually cast on to the needle in the R hand. If you could tell us what the pattern is or maybe post a couple rows, that might help us a little. Does the pattern explain Lift Loop in the stitch notes before the pattern begins?
