FO: Thrummed mittens
Some of you have seen the first mitten so it's not much of a suprpise... However, since others are bragging about their second socks and whatnot , I proudly present The Second Mitten. Together with The First.

I am also kind of proud that it's made from local Nova Scotia wool. It's a gift for someone who was very happy to learn she was getting a pair.

Oh, there goes that Olha again, showing off her handiwork! . . . . . . . . . . . . . I love it! You do such beautiful work, and it's always a pleasure to see it!!

And, yes, I imagine your friend IS thrilled to get a matching pair of mittens (of course, I'm working on the assumption that she's not one-handed)!

Great work!

Oh, yeah. When I try them on indoors, I seem to start sweating

Beautiful, as ever and the fact that it's home-grown, Nova Scotia wool makes the pair even better.

See what I mean? "There she goes again!"

Nope, I am in luck, my daughter's preschool teacher does have both hands. And unlike kids, I didn't see her running around the playground when it's -10 C so I hope the warmth would be appreciated.

Actually, she guessed what I was making when I asked if her hands were cold. I told her I am making very warm mittens and looking for a recipient. And immediately she said 'You are not making thrummed mittens, are you?' This lady goes on my Christmas knitting list next year

What does thrummed mean?
Does it refer to the lighter color that makes that lovely pattern? I think they're little hearts?
