seaming ribbon/trellis/railroad yarn
I am making a top for a friend and am almost done, and I'll be ready to seam the sides and sleeves. Should I use the ribbon yarn (It's Tonga by Lang) or maybe just a white thread?

It does look like it would be a difficult yarn to seam with. I think your idea of thread is a good one. I've done this before myself and it works just fine.
