My very first. Ever.
So I just knitted my first item ever. It is this hat for a girl I work with. Pretty basic stuff compared to everything else I am seeing out there on the boards. I wanted the brim to be larger though.

Anyone have any names of some stitches that are good for hats?

You did a really nice job for a first project. Here is a site that has a lot of hats to choose from and all patterns are free. www.knittingpatterncentral.com. Look forward to seeing more from you.

That's very cute! Are you knitting in the round or flat? I can give you some links to nice patterns. If you haven't started learning to read patterns now is as good a time as any. We can help.

For a first project, that's fantastic. I'm really impressed. Now you're going to have to change your moniker on here!

Great hat! Lucky friend. You're off to a fabulous start.

If you haven't found ravelry.com yet, you should check it out. It's free to joing and you get access to so many patterns.

Keep up the great work.

Thank you all for the kind words and help. Tonight when I am at work I have to look up those websites and learn some things. Looking forward to it!

Again, thank you all so much.
