That is a great little bag. So colorful. Just perfect! I am not real familiar with Tunisian crochet, but seem to remember it is quite dense, so a good choice for a bag, giving it a lot of strength and keeping it from stretching out.

Yes, Tunisian is thick and I've even seen the fabric compared to cardboard.
For some applications that's fantastic, such as for bags, like you said, but I still felt it needed to be lined to help maintain the fabric, keep the floats on the back confined, and to keep small objects from slipping through. Using a larger hook makes it softer and more flexible. If I want softer and more flexible I think that for me knitting is better.
