Decreasing in ribbing
While decreasing a K2 P2 ribbing for the top of a hat, the pattern says, R6 then decrease--- I understand the decrease, but what exactly is the R6? Work 24 stitches, or 6 sets of 4? Thanks!

Work 6 sts in ribbing - k2 p2 k2 is all. (6 sets of 4 is also 24)
