Hello. I can't possibly sleep yet!
Hello!

I'm new to knitting. I couldn't possibly sleep before I make a good start on my first kinda big knitting project. I'm kinda having trouble reading the pattern though. (Yes. I'm a newbie. I bet you get tons of questions like this) I've been trying to make sense of this thing for about half an hour now. If anyone could assist me I would very much appreciate it.

Using 7mm needles, cast on 64 (70-74-80) sts. (I've cast on 64 since I am making the smallest size. Knit 2 rows garter st (I've knitted 2 rows of garter stitch. The next part is where I get stuck)

3rd row: K0 (3-2-2), * inc in next st, K20 (20-13-14), rep from *to last 1 (4-2-3) st/s, inc in next set, K0 (3-2-1)...68 (74-80-86) sts.

I am knitting the smallest size which I understand is the first number, the one outside the brackets. So first I am being asked to knit 0, then 20, then 0, then 68? Yes? Man. I hope I understand this soon.

Actually, you are being asked to...
Knit 0, kfb, Knit 20, kfb, Knit 20, kfb, Knit 20, kfb, Knit 0 - 68sts

Or for simplicity...
kfb, Knit 20, kfb, Knit 20, kfb, Knit 20, kfb - 68sts

The first st will be kfb, then you k20, kfb, k20 and so on, ending with kfb in the last stitch. 68 sts is what you'll have at the end of the row sinced you added 4 sts to the original 64.
