First baby cardigan...stuck with stitch holder!!!

Hello!

I am a beginner knitter and I am knitting my first baby cardigan. The pattern says to place the back part of the sweater WS on a stitch holder and continue with the right front which is also on a stitch holder. My problem is, my working thread is with the back on the stitch holder so how do I continue to with the right front? Have I done something wrong?

I don't think so. You can cut the yarn leaving about a 6" tail and start knitting with a new yarn end on the right front. Do you have a link to the pattern or a pattern name?

Ah, it's knit cuff to cuff. Very cute and fun to knit. The advice still applies: cut the yarn used for the back, leaving a tail and put the sts for the right front onto the needles as the pattern directs. Use a new end of yarn to knit the right front/
