Pattern Translation
I was wondering if someone could help me translate a pattern to English? (Do I need to ask permission from the designer?) The pattern is on Ravelry, here is the link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/serpentine-4

I love this pattern but I can't understand what it says. I greatly appreciate all the help I can get!!!!

Thank you
Terrie

In order to have the entire pattern translated and written in English, you would need permission in order to avoid copyright issues.

As this pattern is free on Ravelry, I would
1) Write the desgner to see if she has the pattern in English, or can translate it for you (for a fee). Bonus to her, she could then sell the translation on Ravelry.
2) Use an online translator/website like this one to translate what you can.

3) Use this Ravelry forum to get help with specific lines, one at a time.

4) Wing it! It's a simple stockinette sock with YOs, so find a stockinette pattern you like and modify it with this motif. A chart is provided in the pattern, which essentially indicates all you have to do is a k2tog, YO on one row, followed by an offset YO, SSK on the next row.
