Looking Through Gram's Knitting Bag
Now that I am back into knitting, I decided to look through my Gram's knitting bag again. I found an awesome booklet entitled "The Scotch Wool Shop". It was originally published in 1943 and then reprinted in 1950, selling for 25 cents. Gram was from Scotland and I'm sure this was a favorite of hers. Great vintage patterns!!!!

Oh, now that's cool! So glad you found this treasure of vintage patterns. I hope you're able to use some of them (and translate the patterns without any problems). Then as you're knitting, you can think about your grandmother making that very same object!

I have my now-deceased grandmother's mixer--an old handheld one that is kinda beat up and ugly, but every time I use it, I think of my little grandmother making cakes. We have a shiny new KitchenAid mixer, but I always reach for the old grubby one. There's just something about using things from the previous generation that is special (at least I think so)!

Enjoy your pattern booklet!
