What size to knit?

Hi,

I want to knit the Hallett's Ledge cardigan sweater . My question is what size should I knit. This sweater has all ribbing until just below the bust then there are cables to the top.

I have a 40 inch bust. I don't know if I should knit size 41 3/4 or 45 1/4.
There is a 2 inch positive ease. I don't like my cardigans tight but then again I don't like them really big either.

I think the 45¼" would be way too big, the other is only a quarter inch smaller than your bust, so I'd go with that. It shouldn't be too tight.
