shaping raglan sleeves

Help!! I am making a boyfriend cardigan & do not understand these instructions. "Dec 2 sts at each end of next and 5 foll 6th rows, then on 8 foll 4th rows, 57 sts to remain." this is my first raglan sleeve sweater.

Dec at the beg and end of the next row, then every 6th row 5 times, then every 4th row 8 times and you'll have 57 sts then.
