Substituting stitch of pattern
Hi

I'm wanting to make a hooded vneck childs sweater. It calls for a garter stitch pattern but i don't like that stitch. Will it make a difference if I follow the pattern but substitute stockinette stitch?

Thanks!

Garter stitches are fairly square whereas stockinette is more rectangles. If you knit up swatches you might be able to wing it.
