Binding off in the round

I have just completed an Infinity scarf and I do not want to bind off in the regular fashion...it is too chain like. However, I have tried even small picot and that doesn't work either. The scarf is done in seed stitch. Anyone out there have words of wisdom on this..I just like to finish and am mystified.

Have you tried binding off in the k1, p1 seed st pattern? Or perhaps try this very stretchy bind off?

Most things look a lot better if you BO in the stitch pattern instead of all knits or all purls. It does leave a chained BO edge, but most of them do. There's a sewn BO which may look a little different.

Yep, I'd bind off in pattern. It's a little awkward in purl, but really does look better for something like that.
