Easy Toddler/Child's slipper pattern
Looking for an easy slipper pattern for my grandkids. I would like to find one that has a leather/non slip bottom as my daughter has hardwood and tile floors.
They used to make leather bottoms for slipper socks when I was a little girl. Don't ask how many years ago that was!! Do they still make those?
Thanks

Here's one that might work and it comes in a range of sizes.

You might also try a search at Knitting Pattern Central and an advanced search on Ravelry.
Also, here's a source for suede slipper soles but I'm sure Googling this or some variations will find more.

I'll look for patterns when I'm back on the computer.

If you google "slipper soles for knitting" you'll get a bunch of hits. They have just plain leather pieces as well as the full soles.

I trace around my feet on a piece of computer paper and cut it out for a pattern. I place it on a thin old leather like coat that someone threw out. I cut soles out from the coat and sew it to the bottom of my slippers/socks when I've finished knitting them. I use a regular needle and thread, but you could probably also use dental floss. Some people like to use the Rubbermaid rubber shelf liners for this.

I like these because I can step out on the porch when it's raining/snowing to let the dog out and not get my feet wet. I never wear shoes in the house.
