Knitting in the round on straight needles

I don't think you can increase and decrease this way, but you can make an open tube with a slightly different cast on.

Great minds! I'm just now looking at her videos and thinking about how to inc/dec. No, I've not done it but I think the toe up sock beginning could switch to one set of needles after inc is done for mittens. I'm still trying to get my nerve up for gloves.
