Don't understand this part

Hello,

Could anybody help me with the following:

Cast off 6 [6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9] sts, K until there are 10 [10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13] sts on right hand needle, turn and work this side first.

Next row – Cast off 4 sts, P to end. Cast off rem 6 [6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9] sts. Leave centre 36 [36, 36, 36, 38, 38, 38, 38] sts on a stitch holder, with RS facing, rejoin yarn to rem sts and K to end. Complete to match first side reversing shapings, working 1
row more before shoulder shaping.

I'm making a sweater and I finish to shape the armhole and I'm supposed to shape the shoulder.

I forgot, the parts that I don't get is that I'm suppose to knit 10 sts and turn and finish what exactly. Or I'm I suppose to cast off those 10 sts? Second, after I cast of 6 sts, what is "rem"? And I'm I suppose to leave 36sts on another needle and how do I rejoin what to what?

It looks like the shoulder and neck shaping on the sweater. First you're going to finish one side and cut the yarn. The center 36sts will be placed on a stitch holder and worked later when you do the collar or neckband. Next, you'll reattach the end of the yarn to the second side and finish that side.
Bind off 6sts and knit the next 9sts which will give you 10sts on the right needle. Turn to the purl side and ignore the remaining sts on the left needle. You'll get to them later. You're working on one shoulder. Cast off 4sts, purl to the end of the row, turn and cast off the remaining 6 sts. Cut the yarn leaving a 4-6inch tail to weave in later and put the end of the yarn through the last stitch and pull gently to tighten that last stitch up.
Now go back to the stitches that are waiting on the needle, slip the next 36sts to a stitch holder and attach (or as the pattern says, rejoin) a new end of yarn to the stitches that remain on the left needle for the other shoulder. Just start knitting with this end (again leaving about a 4-6inch tail). Don't worry if the first stitches seem a little loose, you can tighten them up later. Knit to the end of the row, turn cast off 6sts, purl to the end of the row, cast off 4sts, knit to the end, turn, cast off remaining sts. And that's the shoulders.
