Please! Help me figure out what this is?

I saw this gorgeous scarf at Marshalls, and I know it has to be possible... Does anyone know what stitch pattern it is? Between my group of knitters, none of us knows.

Yep, whenever anyone asks what stitch a machine made knit is, the answer is usually Brioche Stitch.... It's also known as Fisherman's rib, which to me is easier to do as k1below than the sl/yo which is knit tog on the next row.

I'm making a scarf right now that resembles this. First row is K3, yarn held in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, then continue with K3, slip, across row. Second row is K1, yarn held in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, then continue across the row. No particular name is given for the stitch; it's just called the 2 row reversible scarf.

The Brioche stitch is actually the exact pattern, though.

With the Brioche stitch the slipped stitch is worked in as K2 together; the scarf I'm working on has no stitches knit together.

That's just a slip stitch pattern not the same as brioche or fisherman's rib, and while it may look similar isn't quite the same.
