FO: Two Tudora Cowls

I knit 2 Tudora Cowls (free pattern) for my girlfriend who loves to wear cowls in wintertime.

Each one took only one evening, and used only 93-103 yds worsted weight. The pattern calls for aran weight, but I got gauge with this yarn.

This one used 93 yds, knit as per pattern directions:

The tan cowl is already blocked.
The wine cowl wasn't blocked when the photo was taken. It's on the blocking mat now.

I used leftover Mushishi yarn from a 2010 project. Gratifying!

The pattern recommended US6, which is what I used. The reason for a relatively skinny needle with aran yarn is so the cowl is firm. That's what she

. I didn't want to go down to US5 with worsted, so I used the US6, and my gauge turned out perfect.

Very nice gifts Dollyce. Your friend will really love those. The yarn is lovely and your buttons...

especially the one on the more maroon cowl. I love the yarn, it looks like it has been sitting in a snow storm. Very wintery, soft and luscious. Nice blocking as always.
