Help finding New Knitting bag

I think that is just what I need, It looks professional for the office. I wouldn't have to hide my knitting bag under my desk. and I can keep my wallet etc in it and not carry extra bags.

With post-christmas sales right around the corner, we're going to see great sales at places like Michael's, Joann's, Target, etc. Any store that carries knitting and crafting supplies and accessories will have knitting bags deeply discounted.

It's good that you're 'looking' now....so when the sales pop up, you might grab a great bargain.

That's how I got my floor lamp for knitting (the OTT LITE) a few years ago. Half Price saved a lot of moolah.

I have been using a reusable cloth shopping bag. I am starting to be called the bag lady at work, since I walk into work with my knitting bag, lunch bag and my purse. I am looking for a knitting bag that might combine a knitting bag and a purse organizer, I take my knitting everywhere. It needs to be large, I currently have 6 projects going on in my bag. If you have suggestions I am all ears. If it is a pattern I have a friend that quilts and sews that I can trade homemade bread and other baked goods for sewn items. If it's on a website please post the link. I am willing to go up to a $100 if it is sturdy and will last me a long time.

I can relate to that comment.
I always bring a project to my dr's appt.
I had an ophthomologist appt a few months back. I had my purse and a bag with my project.
He always walks patients up to the receptionist desk to make follow-up appt.
When he was done examining my eyes, he said "okay I will see you in a yr. Let's grab your luggage and I'll walk up front with you."
I when he said that.

Yeah all my co-workers and my husband make fun of me because when I get up to go to work or leave I have my lunch bag, a huge reusable shopping bag and my purse. I work in an office that needs to look professional and carting around all that stuff doesn't exactly present the best image for visiting clients. If I were to downsize my knitting bag I would have to decide which project and which knitting book to leave at home. That is like deciding which one of my children I want to spend time with.

I received a green lion brand canvas type bag for Christmas. It's the perfect size - I have 2 baby blankets I am working on as well as a couple dish cloths, my KP options and all my notions in it, with room to spare. I have just been throwing my wallet and cell in it and just taking it an my lunch bag to work the last two days - works perfectly! There is also a pocket on the front that is perfect for patterns!

You can use inexpensive makeup bags to organize your notions and knitting needles, but for myself, I prefer the re-usable shopping bags for smaller projects and the giant Ziploc bags for larger ones so I can decide which projects to take with me, but as I seldom go out, it doesn't signify.
