The cable stitches seem to all be stockinette with 2 purls on both sides of them, so you would do p2, k12, p2 on the RS rows where you don't cross the sts, and k2 p12, k2 on the WS rows. All the rest of the sts are in seed.

Ok so my colleague and I sat down and tried to figure this out. Please please tell me if this is correct
