Multiples of ?? for ribbing

Curious...does the multiple # of ribbing make any difference as far as stretchiness? For instance k1,p1 ribbing versus k2,p2...will there be much of a difference at all or is it purely cosmetic?

I tend to find 1x1 and 2x2 very similar myself. The other variations seem less stretchy.

My understanding is that 1x1 is the stretchiest . Try out small samples of all types of ribbing combinations of both even and uneven numbers

Why not cast on about 32 sts (make it a multiple of 4) and do some 1x1 rib, then cast on again, same number of sts, same needles, work the 2x2 rib and compare for yourself. If you work a couple inches each, you can see for yourself what the differences are and which you'd want to use where. You might even save the swatches for future reference.
