I'm from southeastern Michigan. I learned how to crochet when I was 9, and made a granny square poncho when I was 10! I also taught myself how to knit around that time, but I couldn't really get into it. A few years ago, I picked up the knitting needles again and haven't stopped. Crocheting really hurts my hands, but knitting is very relaxing. Tonight I am working on a Party Lace Scarf:
