Hello I'm new to this Knitting hobby & so far my knitting is going well. That is untill now when I am trying to follow a simple pattern, when I get to the instructions that say...
'' Increase 1 stitch at each end of next row & 4 following 12th rows making 160 stitches...''
It's double dutch to me. can someone please explain what I am to do. I currently have 150 stitches on my needles. A simple reply would really help me. The rest looks simple enough & the back has already been completed.. I haven't knitted since school.. a few years ago I can tell you. Looking forward to all the help & news.
This is typical wording for patterns and it translates to "increase at the beginning and end of the next row, then every 12th row after that 4 times", which is about twice as long to write out. When you end up with 160 sts then go on to the next instruction.

Thanks so much.. makes so much more sence now.....
