Increasing in Moss Rib Pattern
I'm working on the sleeves of a raglan sweater and I'm having problems incorporating the increase stitches into the Moss Rib Pattern which is as follows:
1st row: K2. *P1. K3. Rep from * to last 3 sts. P1. K2
2nd row: P2. *K3. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Do I treat the increase stitches at the beginning and end of every
3rd and 4th row as I would the stitches at the beginning and end of every 1st and 2nd row? I may not have explained this as clearly as I would have liked. Here is a link to the pattern:

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help decipher this for me!

I do these increases as knit stitches and then on the next row, incorporate them into the moss stitch pattern. Rather than plan out the pattern, it's easier to count back from the established stitches to determine which stitch should begin that row. You want to make sure that you're continuing the columns of stitches that you established and not changing that pattern.

I would like to try your technique but the pattern says to increase at the beginning and end of every 3rd and 4th row. Do you suggest that I just count back from the established pattern on each 4th row to see how I should incorporate the increase stitches?

When the incs are on the ends, it's easy to ignore the pattern for the edge sts since they'll probably be seamed, and put the new sts into the stitch pattern.

Thank you Suzeeq. What should I do after increasing. Should I count back from the established pattern on the row to see what stitch I should be knitting?

Yes, work backwards from the current stitches at the beginning of the row, go forward at the end of the row. It actually says to increase on the 3rd row, then every 4th row after that, not on both the 3rd and 4th rows.

"Inc 1 st at each end of 3rd and every following 4th row". With the each and every in there it looks like both, but 'each' refers to each end, the every refers to the 4th row.

Thank you so much for clarifying the instructions. I'm going to give this a shot and I'll let you know how it turns out. Have a great weekend!
