New to forum, but need some help
I have a pattern for a triangle shawl that I'd like to turn into a blanket...only problem is I can't figure out how to do the reversal of the pattern for the decreasing side. Could anyone help me with my brain freeze? The increasing side is: k3, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, knit to end of row, til 132 stitches (or whatever is wanted). Thank you in advance!

I will preface this by saying I do a dishcloth that increases as k2, YO, knit across. To decrease I k1, k2tog, YO, k2tog, knit across. This maintains the pattern while decreasing.

This is kind of how you would handle the decreases in the shawl to create a blanket. Since you have 2 increases and 1 decrease in the pattern I think you'll need to add 2 more decreases to total 3 decreases. 2 of them cancel out the increases and adding the third creates the decrease that will shape the blanket.

You might need to experiment a bit, but based on my dishcloth experience I think it could go like this- k1, k2tog, k1, YO, k1, k2tog, k1, YO, k2tog, knit to end.

I'm sure others will chime in here if I'm wrong or off here.

Thank you for your help. This makes sense, I'll have to give it a try!
