Ohhh...I remember my first visit to a "real" yarn store. I was in Las Vegas for my daughter's soccer tournament and had just finished my last final for my last college class (I went back to school as an adult). I was in a very celebratory mood, knowing I'd be walking the stage a couple of months later.

My hotel was situated between two yarn stores (equal distances to both). I took the rental car and GPS and headed out by myself.

I returned to the hotel with four bags of fancy yarn.

What fun! After that, I made it my mission to locate yarn stores in each of the cities my daughter played in. There were quite a few given that we traveled across the state and the US for her soccer games.

Fun times!

Have fun at your knitting event. Buy a couple of skeins of cheaper yarn. Make knitting friends. I'm so jealous!
