Adapting this pattern
This is a cabled wallet/purse. I'm wanting to make it into a wrist

What do you mean "into a wrist"?

Are you wanting a wrist strap on the wallet or a wrist warmer? If you want a wrist strap, just make the strap long enough to fit your wrist comfortably.

A wrist strap so I can just use it instead of my purse

Yeah, just make the strap the length you want. I think I might sub an I cord for the stockinette, I think it would work better.

Okay Thank You. Where should I attach it? Is there a certain way I should attach it to the bag?

You could attach it where the orange loops are attached in the photos, either at the end with the flower or the opposite end. It looks like the those orange loops are just sewn into the bag and you could do the same with a strap, use sewing thread to stitch it to the inside corner of the bag.
Neat little purse!
