What she is, is totally adorable! I hope she was well house trained already. A mixed breed dog is much less likely to have health problems than a pure bred, and I'm sure she'll love you that much more for rescuing her. I other people having dogs to love and love them back.

What a cutie! Only 10 lb?! Could've fooled me; her coloring makes her look like a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, a breed with one of the longest possible names.... (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nova_Sc...ling_Retriever). But female adults weigh 40 lb, more or less, and males 50, lb more or less.

Those upright ears with the half-flop are sooooo incredibly cute, I can't imagine how difficult it will be to train her--you'll just want to give in to whatever she wants to do. Classes may be the way to go--that way, there will be other people undergoing the same torture at the same time with their unbelievably cute puppies, too!

Congratulations on your new family member!

Thanks, we love her already!

GG - according to them she was found as a stray, but shes very loving, quiet, gentle and sweet. I'd expect a stray to be more wary, but who knows. As for housebreaking... So far so good. We've just been taking her out every couple hours. She hasn't asked to go out on her own yet.

DCM - I know! The ears were what attracted me to her in the first place! Then she came up to the window and wagged her tail and we were sunk. We are going to find some obedience training for her. She seems pretty smart.

Awww! What a sweetie! Her ears look like my mom's dogs', and he is a chihuahua/Papillon mix, also very small. He has exactly those same ears.

We have a pound puppy and we did a DNA test (scraped her cheek) and sent it to a company that analyzed it so we could see what she was.

Congrats! She looks like big fun!

We were actually thinking of doing that, too! She could very well be something like that but maybe have a little dachshund or corgi thrown in.

Mollie is as cute as could be and she does indeed look smart. You are lucky to have found each other.

I thought she looked like she might be stubby legged but it's hard to tell in the picture. How could you have resisted that face if you'd wanted to?
