binding off
Hi Everyone

I'm doing a ribbing for a sweater
Row:1 sl (p1 k1) to end
Row 2: sl1 (k1 p1) to last but one st, then k1
Repeat row 1
Repeat row 2 except at the beginning sl 1,k1, cast off 2 sts. Rib to end
My question is do I then p1 and k1 to cast off leaving the 2 sts on my needle

Debbie

You'll knit the knits and purl the purls but otherwise you bind off as normal.

Is this making a buttonhole in the ribbing? If so, yes, you would sl1, k1, p1, k1, pass the purl over the knit and off the needle. Purl the next stitch and pass the knit over this purl stitch (2sts cast off). Continue with k1, p1 to the end. Leave the initial 2sts (the slip st and the k1) on the needle.
I like the video for binding off in pattern. GG, thanks!
